The day in bulletin points.
-I finished my damn deadline. I'm not really happy with the piece I produced-- I think I could have done better, and it feels awkwardly phrased and paced to me, but perhaps this is only the first-week hate that I usually have and it'll go away. I wrote out a short DVD-esque commentary on it right after I finished, and I had so much fun doing it that I think I'll make it a regular tradition. It's sort of useful, those impressions from the first ten minutes after finishing. If I remember to and the observations still seem funny, I'll include it with the piece when I put it here.
-Lot of FINA commentary to make, but I'm terribly tired. Tomorrow. I remain alarmingly fond of Michael Phelps and grumble at the newspapers when they're being derogatory towards him. Also, I enjoy Hackett's 1500, despite the fact it is several minutes of absolutely nothing interesting happening except at the beginning and end.
-We were bored at work and we burned a hole though a kickboard with a magnifying glass. This took a shorter amount of time than you'd think. It passed enough time that we started dragging out all the old kickboards and now it looks like particularly pointless modern art. God help me when I start a real job and can't do this shit any more.
