I saw Narnia the other night and quite liked it, although the heating in the theater was broken and we were all huddled up desperately for warmth. I suppose you could think of it as ambient atmosphere for the movie itself-- but then they'd have turned up the goddamn heater at the end, when Narnia thaws. As it was, I'm still muttering about not getting a discount. But overall, it was quite enjoyable. Not a Tragic Love Story-- unless you're very partial to Susan or the White Witch, I guess-- but it had its share of moments. Most of them were fantastic, but some of them were disconcerting, as evidenced by the cut tag.
( Some points on the Lion, the Witch, and the-- BADTOUCH! BADTOUCH! )
Also, I've seen Brokeback Mountain twice. I haven't quite gathered my thoughts on it yet, though. But I really, deeply liked it. I went in with high expectations, and I wasn't disappointed, and I suppose that's something. I highly encourage people to spend their money on it.
( Some random things, not quite Brokeback related yet )
Thank you, drive through.
