Now, we're all pulling for the Writers Guild, and we're all annoyed by the recent proliferation of reality shows that look like the producers are just pulling people off the street, and forcing them in front of cameras to do shit. (Now on Fox: World's Deadliest Grocery Shopping! With women who look like hookers!!!)

But the fact of the matter is that kadrin would make a wonderful reality show. He already does Wacky Cooking Time 5000, which is a hell of a lot more interesting than Rachel Ray. He is an excellent writer and conversationalist; he is kind to small children (at least, the ones he is related to); he cooks; and he is one of the most charming, intelligent, interesting, and groin-grabbingly funny people I know.

And today is his birthday, so a very happy birthday to him. Patrick, you are a gentleman of a fine caliber rarely seen these days, (and if you have shot an old man in the face, or just to watch him die, or any other variation on the theme, well-- we've no proof of it) and I hope the next year is wonderful to you.

Tomorrow is the board retreat for work, shall be off bonding about cardiology. Wonder if I could convince any of the board that playing Guitar Hero 3 is better than bonding.
