I was thinking a little more about fundamental skills that I missed out on learning, and that I quietly panic over because everyone else seems to know how to do them. (Like, you know, the learning how to hail taxis thing.)
( Shameful confession time is go )
How about you guys? Anything fundamental you missed out on?
Also, I'm clearly back from California. I am getting worse and worse at recapping trips, but I think I may try. To start, I have actually managed to download my pictures this time, and will start by posting the famous "No Goats" sign that I encountered in a Czech castle. It's only nearly a year and a half late.
( You can't argue with a sign as emphatic as this )
The sign was pretty big in its full glory. I've cropped it down though, in order to retain attention on the most important parts.
Read Stephen King's "Duma Key" and was incredibly surprised and pleased. Much better than I expected! More on this later. Read Pat Barker's "Life Class" and was moderately pleased. Good, but not as good as I expected. This feels weird, like it should be the other way around. I feel like reviewing them together is not allowed, even if they both have painting as a major plot point. Also, checked out the Skulduggery book from the library, so you can stop hating me now, Patrick.
