The Great August Experiment
Aug. 1st, 2009 10:56 pmSo, I thought I'd try an experiment for August, where I make an attempt to post every day. It feels sort of unnatural to me to do so-- for the last couple years, I've kinda subscribed to the theory of, "If you don't have something interesting to say, shut the hell up," but I'm hoping this gets me back in a writing mood. So you may see a lot of different chunks of WsIP from various fandoms floating through here over the next month.
Unfortunately, I've just returned from a wedding, and I'm a little too hammered on gin and tonics to write much of an entry, and this is just under the wire as it is. (This last month has had epic alcohol intake for me. It included a week long cardiology conference, a bachelorette party, a rehearsal dinner, a Green Day and Kaiser Chiefs concert, a multi-band concert at the 9:30 Club, a wedding, the Swimming World Championships, Harry Potter, and some things that I'm probably forgetting, because of the alcohol. Also, I've spent at least half the month in Louise's direct company, so that... escalates things.)
So instead, I'm going to leave you with my reaction to the men's 100m butterfly, and a whole bunch of links, the majority of which
twigcollins has sent me over the last couple days. They're mostly recipes and videos.
( You know you want to click this cut. It has both swimmers and old school Star Trek slash under it. But not at the same time, because that would be weird )
Let's see if this experiment works, or if I crap out in four days!
