Aaron Peirsol is retiring and not trying to go to London 2012!
AND,
Ian Thorpe is UN-retiring, and intent on making a run for London 2012!
MICHAEL PHELPS, PLEASE PLEASE MAKE SOME KIND OF PUBLIC STATEMENT THAT CONFIRMS YOUR CREEPY YET ENDEARING STALKER FANBOY NATURE IN REGARDS TO EITHER OF THESE DUDES. Mind you, I'm not so sure Thorpe coming back is actually going to really happen-- dude's been out of the game for years-- or that if it does, it wasn't because someone bribed him an assload of money to kick Phelps back into gear. Watch out, Ryan Lochte, your boyfriend's ex is coming around and you may have to get in some kind of chest-beating intimidation act. Hey, maybe we can drag Pieter van den Hoogenband back as well. Anyway. At the very least, I can look forward to some kind of Michael Phelps statement, and even if they don't get into a pissing match again, I bet there will be terrible haircuts to be made fun of. Happy days.
ETA: Hey, this means Thorpe can't wear his iconic full body black suit, doesn't it? Jammers for you like everyone else, boyo.
Now I really do have to buckle down and finish Scaly Dicks. I wish it would consent to be less long. As long as I'm talking sports, a brief conjecture beneath the cut--

I have to go to bed, otherwise this would turn into a post on why Sidney Crosby Is My Queer Giraffe, and a pictorial comparison between Michael Phelps and Alexander Ovechkin's respective asses. I have never seen such opposite asses. Also, FF7 post soon to come. A very silly trilogy must be concluded.
