It's Good Friday, although from what the news tells me, we're about to get clobbered with snow and/or rain. I'm not sure if this is wrath-of-God related, or wrath-of-Al-Gore related, or Jesus-emerges-from-the-tomb-and-sees-His-shadow related, or just good old El NiƱo. But right now, it is sunny and breezy and that is nice. I've always remembered Good Friday as being intense, but I'm having a hard time saying anything about it in a way that doesn't come off as "Oh crap, crazy Catholic be spoutin' off at the mouth again. Hide the booze."
Holy Week in general has always been interesting, although I don't think I really buckled down and tried to learn about it historically until college-- it was always just doing what we did because we'd always done so. I was reading a discussion thread from a post about how it's funny that a lot of former Catholics turn to Paganism; someone hit the nail on the head, in my opinion, that it's because of the wacky similarity of props. For real, dudes. We love shiny things and elaborate costumes! Oh my religion, I will never agree with you on certain things, but you're not boring, I'll give you that.
Anyway. Damn, it's been a while since we've had a music post, huh? There's no theme this time, just a random assortment.
( Music Post: There was a theme here, it's gone now )
I know I have at least a couple Supernatural fans on my flist, and odds are someone's got vidding talent. Who's going to make the vid using the Nerfherders "5000 Ways To Die" and everything that happened in "The Mystery Spot" episode? (And has anyone ever made a Supernatural vid using Drew Bunting's "Gin"? I'd always wondered, ever since I started watching the show. Velithya, I guess this question is aimed towards you, as you are my Supernatural Expert Person.)
I'm filling out medical grant applications and I am bored. I've wanted to do two memes for a while now-- the WIP meme and the virginity meme. I don't have access to all my files for the WIP one, so. Tell me a character, and I'll tell you how he/she lost his/her virginity.
To be answered with either a recounting or perhaps short sentence-fic. I reserve the right to tag in Twig on any Pale Sky characters, and bear in mind that any character from the Utena series is exceedingly likely to be answered with "Touga", "Akio", or "Anthy." (And those three will also be answered with each other's names in that order, come to think of it.)
